Powered by old fashioned service

Good old fashion service sets Euro Diesel Services apart.

Harry Girvan founded the business in 1989 to fill a niche in the Perth market for serviced and reconditioned DEUTZ engines.

Initially based in Kalgoorlie after migrating from Ireland, Harry also worked for DEUTZ in Melbourne before becoming a DEUTZ WA dealer.

His business offers new and reconditioned liquid and air-cooled engines, including repairs, service, exchange components and genuine diesel engine spare parts.

Euro Diesel Services is Perth’s only authorised specialist DEUTZ diesel engine and parts dealer. As well as field service, Harry’s team offers on-site or workshop repairs.

The business mainly serves the WA mining, construction, agriculture industries, with a growing commercial customer base. It uses the full range of DEUTZ Australia products, from 2011 to 1015 engines.

Manager Trevor Brougham has been with Euro Diesel since 2005 and describes himself as a “general all-round manager”. He has four other staff and Harry still visits.

Trevor uses DEUTZ products for their reliability and longevity. “DEUTZ have an extensive range of engines to cover a wide band of power,” he says. “They are robust and high quality.”

As an ‘A’ Class dealer, Trevor’s team is second to none thanks partly to the expertise that Harry gained while training DEUTZ staff in Melbourne.

Knowing the importance of efficient service and reliable products, Trevor only uses the best for projects such as hydraulic power packs and dewatering pumps.

“The whole 2011 series is popular,” he says. “They fit into a lot of machines and there’s a lot of machines that come in from Europe with them.”

Clients are invariably impressed. “Once they get to use the product then they form a strong liking to it,” Trevor says.

Trevor adds that dealing with DEUTZ is a pleasure and he appreciates the open and responsive communication. “They listen, and they take it on board,” he says.
