Industrial gensets are already making waves

Our new industrial gensets designed for Australian conditions are already making waves, just 12 months since their release.

DEUTZ Australia worked on the concept for two years before launching the new range in early 2019.

The reliable and versatile products are tailored to local needs and offer peace of mind for those needing power for business or private purposes.

New models are continually being developed to meet changing industry sector needs.

The latest hit the market in September and have already become our dealer’s first choice for continuous/prime applications.

The DPS13DF – 13kVA is great for hobby farms and off grid homes, while the DPS81DG – 81kVA has an oversized alternator suitable for dynamic load conditions.

DEUTZ Power Solutions Business Development Manager Ben Jenkinson says their durability has already made its mark.

“We are seeing some of our dealers successfully selling larger capacity units, where historically they haven’t been competitive,” he says.

Thorough training ensures that our dealers can match these products to clients. Sessions across Australia and New Zealand were a priority in the first half of 2019.

“Our training sessions are focused on product overview and technical application subjects,” Ben explains.

Our new Melbourne warehouse, which is three times bigger than the old one, offers in-house training facilities as well as warehousing and product testing.

“Operations staff who previously used two warehouses in different locations now have everything under one roof,” Ben says.

“We have modelled our DPS factory distribution from our existing DEUTZ engine supply chain model. This allows for continuity across the business.”

The new range was designed to work hard by using genuine components in a quality package.

Ben says dealer performance has been strong across the board, with sales in some power nodes exceeding expectations. Customer feedback has been “very positive”.

The DPS product is part of DEUTZ Australia’s broader strategy for future growth and increasing market presence.

“The product range is new, but we continue to listen to our dealers and will continually improve the product offering,” Ben says.
